Jonathan Lyon joins PrettyGood as co-founder

Newly launched brand and media agency, PrettyGood, has expanded its ranks with the appointment of Jonathan Lyon as co-founder and chief product officer.

Lyon brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the marketing sector, having held senior roles at OMD New Zealand, Digitas NYC, TEDx Auckland, and Wunderman in London.

He joins founder and CEO, Hamish Smith, who was formally chief marketing officer at New Zealand digital out-of-home business, LUMO. Their shared goal is to make marketing solutions more affordable for small and medium businesses across Australia. A portion of PrettyGood's revenue will be allocated to support community initiatives and local charities, reflecting the company's commitment to social responsibility.

"Jonathan is an internationally recognised marketing pioneer who has dedicated his career to elevating customer insights and accelerating media innovation. His expertise and shared commitment to using business as a force for good make him an ideal co-founder as we work to reset the marketing and media landscape across Australasia. I’m really looking forward to working with him and offering his fresh thinking to our clients," said Smith.

Lyon and Smith both have a history of innovation in service of social good. Lyon founded the 'Appiness' social enterprise concept, and Smith has worked with the Kindness Collective and Springboard, donating $10,000 since the launch of PrettyGood.

"I'm thrilled to join PrettyGood on their trailblazing journey. By seamlessly blending cutting-edge marketing solutions, transparent pricing strategies, and impactful corporate giving initiatives, we can empower small and medium enterprises while collectively working towards a better world. It's this beautifully orchestrated convergence of ethical business practices and positive social impact that fuels my passion and drives me forward each day," Lyon said.

"At our core, Jonathan and I want to leverage new thinking and technologies that can make a real difference for underserved communities. PrettyGood is charting that path by empowering the businesses that fuel local economies, while simultaneously fuelling positive impact for people in need," Smith said.
