Kyle and Jackie 'O' finally launch into Melbourne

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson have this morning launched their breakfast show in Melbourne, with a star-studded inaugural broadcast on KIIS 101.1, featuring appearances from Jason Derulo, Michael Bublé, Rob Schneider, and PM Anthony Albanese.

The launch comes six months after the Melbourne expansion was first announced in their November contract extension, which saw the popular radio duo secure a further decade with ARN.

During the broadcast, the Kyle & Jackie O Show introduced a new segment called THE NOISE, offering a prize money of $200,000 for the listener who correctly guesses the noise. This is in line with the show's reputation for engaging content and high-stakes competitions.

"It's the day of the revolution. The beginning of the 20-year dream of going national, one city at a time," said Sandilands about the launch. "We're launching into Melbourne. Exciting! I can't believe it's here, it's been a long time coming," said Henderson.

The show has been on air on KIIS 1065 since 2014 and is considered one of Australia's most successful radio programs. It recently reclaimed the title of Sydney's #1 Breakfast show and marked its 42nd consecutive survey as the top FM Breakfast show.

In November 2023, Sandilands and Henderson signed a deal to remain on air with ARN until the end of 2034, which also included the expansion of their breakfast show into Melbourne. The show can now be heard on KIIS 101.1 Melbourne and KIIS 1065 Sydney every weekday morning from 6.00 am. Highlights from each day's show are replayed across the KIIS Network nationally at 6.00 pm, or can be listened to via ARN's free iHeart app.
