Mics off at Australian Radio Network, mics on at ARN

By Sam Buckingham-Jones - Senior Writer

“When the execs asked me what I thought about the ARN rebrand I told them they should rename it King Kyle and be done with it. No idea why that didn’t fly," Kyle Sandilands said.

ARN is now just that: ARN. Australian Radio Network has been retired in a rebrand, as the company looks to move beyond radio and deeper into digital audio and podcasting.

What you need to know:

  • Australian Radio Network has been formally replaced with ARN, after a review and rebrand by the network.
  • The announcement comes with a newly coloured logo, underlined by the tag line launched in 2019: Defining Audio.
  • ARN CEO Ciaran Davis said it shows the network is continuing to invest in the future of audio.

The Australian Radio Network is no more, having formally rebranded to ARN in a bid to underline to advertisers that it operates across audio formats.

However, ARN CEO Ciaran Davis said the company remains intent on providing “one to one addressability” and scalable, measurable solutions on digital platforms and linear radio.

The rebrand also signals the start of an industry-facing campaign called “Connections that Count”.

Presenter Kyle Sandilands said in a statement: “When the execs asked me what I thought about the ARN rebrand I told them they should rename it King Kyle and be done with it. No idea why that didn’t fly.”
