Concrete Playground announces new leadership team

Concrete Playground is ready to play "an important role in helping fast track the cultural revival of our cities”, founder Rich Fogarty says.

Hoping for a return to major events, travel, tourism and “cultural revival” in major cities, digital publisher Concrete Playground is beefing up staff and leadership.

  • Suz Tucker becomes Editorial Director, Samantha Zoratto has been appointed Client Services Director, Tahlia Phillips becomes General Manager and Kristen Lazaric has been promoted to Commercial Director.

Concrete Playground has expanded it leadership team and staff. It is eyeing a return to major events, travel and shared experiences post-Covid – current outbreak aside.

Rich Fogarty, founder and Director of Concrete Playground, said the last year has strengthened the business, which is aiming at playing “an important role in helping to fast track the cultural revival of our cities”.

Suz Tucker, a former Managing Editor of Pedestrian.tv, has been appointed Editorial Director. Tucker spent the past four years at creative agency We Are Social, where she led the department responsible for editorial strategy, content-led campaigns, always-on social content and influencer programs for clients like Netflix, Samsung Global, Audi, Foxtel and Red Bull.

Samantha Zoratto has been appointed Client Services Director. Zoratto moves from a similar role at The Urban List, where she managed large-scale content campaigns. Prior to that, she worked at Fairfax mastheads Good Food and Traveller.

Tahlia Phillips has been promoted to General Manager. Phillips has been Commercial Director since 2018 and has built content partnerships with brands like American Express, Mazda, Lion and City of Sydney.

Kristen Lazaric has been promoted to Commercial Director, after 18 months as Senior Partnerships Director.

The independent digital publisher runs city guide websites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, as well as New Zealand’s Auckland and Wellington
