OMA Industry Awards honours Australia's top OOH talent
The 2025 Outdoor Media Association (OMA) Industry Awards last night honoured individuals and organisations across 15 categories, recognising professionals in the Out of Home (OOH) industry for their commitment, creativity, and innovation.
The event took place at Crown Sydney, with more than 90 nominations, reflecting the strength and growth of the OMA's membership base.
OMA CEO, Elizabeth McIntyre, said: "The atmosphere at Crown last night was electric. The Industry Awards are a rare moment for Out of Home to hit pause, come together, and celebrate our people. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists whose passion and creativity keeps our industry moving forward."
The judging panel comprised industry figures such as Adam Cadwallader, Brad Bishopp, Cathy O'Connor, Charles Parry-Okeden, Ged Hart, Kirrily Hirst, and Kirsty Dollisson. Among the winners, Alex Hobbs received the Emerging Leader Award, Michael Cali was honoured with the OMA Industry Award, and Sabarish Chirakkal took home the Excellence in Innovation Award.
The Outstanding Service Award recognised regional winners, including Adam Cadwallader and Jason Bell in New South Wales, Chris Tyquin in Queensland, Danielle Cameron in Victoria, Mark Williams in South Australia, and Phil Dada in Western Australia. The Rising Star Award celebrated Brendan Murphy (NSW), Samantha Shakspeare (QLD), Kate Sproule (VIC), Maddison Caputo (SA), and Dominic Driscoll (WA).
The Excellence in Design & Construction award was presented to The Icon (Melbourne), a project by JCDecaux & Hanlon Industries. Fernando Alfeirao from QMS Media was awarded the Excellence in Field Work & WHS award.
Notably, former JCDecaux CEO Steve O'Connor and the late Keith Forbes, formerly of Buckle Brothers, were both inducted into the OMA Hall of Fame.
Reflecting on the Hall of Fame inductees, McIntyre said: "Both are incredibly deserving, having contributed so much to the Out of Home industry. The moving tributes from industry stalwarts last night are a testament to the strength of their legacy, one that continues to shape what we see today."
