Nine, oOh!Media, Network Ten and Spotify were the most recognised companies at the annual Media i Awards, which celebrate media sales excellence and award the best sales people in the business – based on the votes of 2,000+ media agency staff. See the teams and individual winners here.

- The Media i winners were announced at a virtual event last night, with Nine’s sales team taking out the national sales gong.
- Sales teams and individuals from 15 different media companies won awards at the event, which is the only one to recognise the contribution of media owners.
Top guns
Nine’s sales team has been named the top Team of the Year by Media i in a virtual ceremony recognising top media sales talent.
Agency employees voted across three categories: National Sales Team of the Year, Sales Team of the Year by Market, and Sales Person of the Year by Category By Market.
“Everyone has been challenged in their own way throughout the past 18 months, but at the same time we have seen individuals and teams adapt and step up in remarkable ways to overcome these challenges,” Media i CEO Charles Parry-Okeden said. Chris Winterburn, Media i’s Managing Director, also congratulated this year’s winners.
“Standing here 12 months ago, it would have been almost impossible to imagine that 2021 would remain as challenging as 2020. It certainly has required us all to dig even deeper to navigate what was already an incredibly difficult environment… The response from all involved has been overwhelming, reinforcing the significance of this initiative to sales teams and individuals across the country.”
Nine was the most awarded media company, with six awards, followed by oOh!Media (four), and Network Ten and Spotify (three).
