Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book marks 45 years with 12 collectible coins
Are Media has partnered with the Royal Australian Mint and newsXpress to mark the 45th anniversary of 'The Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book', introducing a limited-edition coin collection featuring 12 iconic cakes from the cookbook.
Among the designs are the jelly-filled swimming pool, the choo-choo train, and the rubber ducky duck cake. The collection consists of 11 $1 coins and one $2 coloured coin, available in various collectible formats. These include a proof coin packaged in a commemorative hardcover edition of the cookbook and a 12-coin recipe card collection.
The coins are set to be available at participating newsXpress stores, the Mint’s online store, and select distributors. The campaign will run from May to August and will be supported by a multi-platform influencer series on TikTok. This series will feature well-known personalities such as Edwina Bartholomew, Jessica Rowe, and Julie Goodwin.
Editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly, Sophie Tedmanson, highlighted the cultural resonance of the cookbook.
