Domain appoints ex MYOB boss as interim CEO
Domain has named Greg Ellis as interim CEO for up to 12 months as the Nine-owned property media business continues the search for a permanent replacement for Jason Pellegrino, who is set to leave the business on 28 February after his departure was announced last October.
Ellis is set to starts the new role on Monday. He has been a director on the Domain Board since November 2017 and will maintain this position while serving as Interim CEO.
Ellis brings over 20 years of experience in the digital sector, having held senior executive roles both in Australia and internationally. His previous roles include CEO of MYOB until 2023, CEO of Scout24 from 2014 to 2018, and CEO and Managing Director of REA Group Ltd from 2008 to 2014. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Queensland University of Technology.
The material terms of Ellis' appointment as Interim CEO will be disclosed around the time of his commencement.
Chairman of Domain Holdings Australia, Nick Falloon, said: "The Board is fortunate to have someone with Greg’s ability step into the role as the search continues. Greg is already familiar with the business and is engaged in its long-term ambitions. The Board is committed to a thorough search process to appoint a permanent CEO.
