Former Seven West Media sales boss Kurt Burnette has stepped changed on his thirty year career in traditional media, this week confirming his new gig at Australian AI technology startup, Cre8tive AI Studios.

Burnette, who was ousted from the SWM business last June during a sweeping restructure under new chief executive Jeff Howard, had spent the majority of his career at the media conglomerate, where he had worked his way up the chief sales officer in 2011, and later chief revenue officer.

Burnette joins Cre8tive AI Studios as a content consultant. The company, which is dedicated to delivering AI-driven solutions for content creation and AI agents, aims to enhance business operations by integrating AI tools and coding into existing workflows or creating new ones. It places a strong emphasis on safe and ethical AI practices.

Announcing the news to LinkedIn on Thursday, Burnette said: "After 30 years in Media, I've been fortunate to experience and learn from many different approaches to the way premium video content for entertainment, News and sport is created, consumed and monetised.

"One of my key passions has been the exponential role technology and innovation plays in the new ways of thinking, working and getting results. AI and its all-encompassing game changing capabilities is at the heart of it all."
