Blobfish appoints Mayvelynn Nurimba as Campaign Co-ordinator
Blobfish International has announced the appointment of Mayvelynn Nurimba as its new Campaign Co-ordinator.
Nurimba will play a pivotal role in supporting Blobfish's global operations across New Zealand, the UK, and Australia. Her responsibilities will include streamlining the company's back-end technology.
Nurimba joins Blobfish International with a background in brand strategy, digital campaigns, and customer experience design.
She has previously collaborated with high-profile clients such as The Walt Disney Company, Seafolly, RSPCA Victoria, Indofood ANZ, and the Queen Victoria Market. Her academic credentials include a Masters in Marketing, a certification in AI in marketing, and a Bachelor of Food Science from RMIT University.
Prior to her appointment at Blobfish, Nurimba completed a business analyst internship at Amerinda Advisory and a marketing and project management internship at the Gaudi Group. Her experience is expected to complement the expertise of Jake Kerr, who has recently been promoted to Campaign Manager at Blobfish.
Nurimba's appointment comes as Blobfish International celebrates its 10th anniversary. The company has built an extensive network of experiential sampling partners, including Uber Eats, Door Dash, Menulog, and Airbnb. In June, Blobfish expanded its partner network to include sectors such as butchers' boxes, the children/baby/parent sector, and the national sporting and health industry.
Blobfish International has a track record of working with major brands, including Aperol, Unilever, Heineken, Mondelez International, Danone, and Nestlé. The company is known for its innovative approach to brand activation and promotion.
Founder and Director of Blobfish International, Nic Cann, said, "We are thrilled to welcome May to the Blobfish team. May is a young gun in the brand activation space, with a passion for design thinking and creating impactful campaigns. She will be a valuable part of our team as we continue to scale our activity."
Cann noted, "May’s appointment is testimony to the continued growth of the Blobfish business and the need to add considerable emerging talent to our team to meet demand. We’re looking forward to continuing to expand our operations in 2026."
Nurimba added, "Blobfish is the perfect place for me to cut my teeth in brand activation and promotion. With my food science degree, I bring a unique lens to consumer behaviour and product marketing, and I’m looking forward to putting this to good use for our clients. Blobfish offers the perfect blend of creativity, data-driven thinking and fast-paced client delivery for an up-and-comer like me – I’m excited to work with this incredible team."
Nurimba's appointment is effective immediately.
