Twilio brings to market fresh set of customer engagement features
Twilio has announced the global release of a new suite of data features, aimed at enhancing customer engagement through what it describes as "trusted data."
The new platform-wide capabilities include Granular Observability, a centralised Alerting Hub, expanded APIs, and Auto-Instrumentation.
The features are designed to assist enterprises in building, maintaining, and scaling customer experiences with trusted data. The tools are specifically built for teams responsible for customer data infrastructure, with a focus on secure, reliable, and seamless customer experiences.
The new observability and alerting features are intended to help data teams identify and resolve issues before they affect customers. Granular Observability provides Failed Delivery Logs for detailed access to each event ID, which aids in tracing and resolving issues. The Alerting Hub centralises notifications, allowing data teams to configure, view, and manage alerts in one place.
Expanded APIs are designed to customise, automate, and extend Twilio Segment's data foundation. Auto-Instrumentation allows non-engineering users to build and modify event triggers on web and mobile platforms. Audience and Destination Configuration APIs enable programmatic creation, preview, and management of audiences at scale. Profile APIs allow direct access to Twilio Segment's Data Graph and unified profiles, supporting compliance standards.
The new capabilities are available via Twilio Segment and aim to provide easier and faster access to accurate, compliant, and clean data. Twilio's Customer Engagement Platform is used by companies globally to build personalised relationships with customers.
