APL appoints JAM TV and EMG/Gravity Media as A-Leagues production partners
The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has appointed JAM TV and EMG/Gravity Media, following a three-month tender process for an A-Leagues broadcast production partner. The deal covers the next two seasons of the Ninja A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men matches, which will be aired on Network Ten and Paramount+.
JAM TV delivers over 300 live broadcasts each year for the NBL, AFLW, State Leagues AFL, and Golf. EMG/Gravity Media provides media services and facilities globally for football broadcasters, federations, and clubs, returns to Australian football after previously serving as the broadcast provider for the A-Leagues from 2010 to 2016.
"We are excited to be partnering with JAM TV and EMG/Gravity Media for the next two seasons, to deliver a premium broadcast of our game, and increase the amount of A-Leagues’ content for our fans," said A-Leagues Commissioner, Nick Garcia. He added that the partnership would allow the league and its clubs to engage fans and showcase the great stories of the game through more content.
CEO of JAM TV, Cos Cardone, said that the partnership was not only about great match production but also about ensuring fans have access to more content than before. "Our involvement with the APL over the last two seasons gave us great insight into the amazing stories that exist in both men’s and women’s football."
EMG/Gravity Media Executive Chairman, John Newton, said: "EMG/Gravity Media is the premier provider of media services and facilities for football broadcasters, federations and clubs globally, and we are extremely excited to be back on the pitch in Australia working collaboratively with JAM TV and the APL for the upcoming A-Leagues seasons," he said.
The 20th anniversary season of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men kicks off on October 18, while the Ninja A-League Women's 2024/25 season begins on November 1.
