Nine Radio taps SCA's Amanda Unwin to lead Sydney audio sales
Nine Radio has appointed Amanda Unwin as the Sydney Director for Nine Audio Sales. She joins Nine after 12 years with Southern Cross Austereo, where she has led sales for both the Sydney and Perth markets.
The move comes part of Nine's broader audio overhaul, and follows the recent appointment of Brian Gallagher as the network's audio commercial director. In her new role Unwin will report directly to Gallagher.

"As we transition Nine Audio sales to a new model, I'm excited that we have been able to attract talent of Amanda's calibre and experience in audio. She will provide our excellent Sydney team with the leadership they need to thrive in the new structure. Amanda is extremely well respected in the Sydney advertising market and we expect her to make a big impact on her return," said Gallagher.
Throughout her career, Unwin has collaborated with major advertisers such as Telstra, McDonald's, the Federal Government, Woolworths, and Harvey Norman.
In her new role, Unwin will be responsible for supporting the change management of Nine Audio's new sales structure and driving growth for Nine's audio portfolio. This new sales structure is designed to enhance Nine's capacity to deliver campaigns for clients of all sizes, whether they are national or local.
"I’m thrilled to be back in the Sydney market and once again working under Brian’s leadership. His clear vision for Nine’s Audio Sales comes at a pivotal time for our industry, and I’m energised by the opportunity to contribute to such a defining chapter," said Unwin.
Nine's Total Audio approach is part of its broader sales strategy, which also includes Total TV and Total Publishing. This comprehensive strategy aims to provide a cohesive offering across various media channels.
"It’s a privilege to keep championing a channel I’m deeply passionate about, and I’m especially looking forward to exploring a new format to drive meaningful growth for our partners. I can’t wait to reconnect with the brilliant minds across Sydney," said Unwin.
