Ogilvy ANZ unifies social and influence services under Social@Ogilvy brand

Ogilvy ANZ has consolidated its social and influence services under the Social@Ogilvy brand. This strategic move integrates more than 30 platform-certified social specialists from Ogilvy PR, Ogilvy One, and Ogilvy Australia.

The unification aims to streamline the agency's social media offerings and enhance its capabilities in the sector.

Daniel Young has been appointed as Group Managing Director, Consumer PR, Social and Influence. Young emphasised the importance of social media in modern brand marketing.

"The most successful organisations recognise that social media isn't just for amplifying messages created elsewhere. It's where brand identity is shaped through ongoing consumer, creator and community dialogue, where discovery naturally occurs, and increasingly, where commerce happens. This reality makes social media not just a channel choice, but the foundation for modern brand marketing and growth strategies," he said.

Social@Ogilvy will provide a comprehensive suite of social media services, including social brand strategy, influencer marketing, paid social, and social commerce. The new structure is built on the principle of 'Connected Social', integrating with Ogilvy's end-to-end marketing capabilities across advertising, public relations, and digital experience, powered by WPP Open.

The team comprises experts in social strategy, social creative, social content, performance marketing, listening and analytics, customer advocacy, and orchestration. This integration is designed to ensure that expertise from across the network is accessible to clients from a single point, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of their social media strategies.
