Nakatomi acquires NZ's Field Of Play to boost brand infrastructure

Nakatomi has announced the acquisition of Field of Play, a New Zealand-based brand design studio. The acquisition is intended to enhance Nakatomi's brand infrastructure as the company transitions into a pure venture-creation model.

Field of Play was founded by Creative Director Elliot Stansfield. The studio has established a reputation for its work with prominent brands such as Air New Zealand, Tayga, PureSport, and Volley. This acquisition marks a strategic move for Nakatomi, which aims to leverage Field of Play's expertise in brand and design to support its venture teams.

Ruby Neagle, Creative Strategist at Nakatomi, stated, "For us, the integration of Field of Play provides Nakatomi with unmatched brand infrastructure - enabling our venture teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact companies that resonate with customers from launch. It also creates a dedicated entity to manage brand and design engagements as Nakatomi accelerates its transition into its pure venture-creation model following its recent $3.5m raise."
