KFC Australia introduces Kwench beverage range in Wollongong trial

KFC has brought its new Kwench beverage range to Australia, launching with a trial in Wollongong. The new offering includes ten beverages across four distinct categories: Lemonades, Boba Refreshers, Krunch Shakes, and Iced Koffee Krunch.

The Lemonades category features two options: Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade and Spicy Mango Lemonade, both priced at $5.45 each. The Boba Refreshers category includes Watermelon Boba Refresher and Cherry Boba Refresher, each available for $5.95. Krunch Shakes are offered in three flavours: Chocolate Krunch Shake, Caramel Krunch Shake, and Coconut Mango Krunch Shake, also priced at $5.95 each. The Iced Koffee Krunch category comprises Iced Caramel Koffee Krunch, Iced Mocha Koffee Krunch, and Iced Latte, with prices ranging from $5.95 to $6.45.

The new drinks are available at four locations in Wollongong starting from 25th March 2025. These locations include Fairy Meadow, Unanderra, Warrawong, and Dapto. Additionally, four more locations will begin offering the drinks from May 6 2025. These locations are Shellharbour, Shellharbour Food Court, Albion Park 2, and Wollongong Food Court.

Group Marketing Director at KFC Australia, Sally Spriggs, said, "We're always looking to push the boundaries of flavour, and Kwench by KFC is our most exciting beverage innovation yet. This range has everything from refreshing lemonades to indulgent shakes that are prepared fresh in-restaurant."

The trial in Wollongong will likely serve as a testing ground for potential wider distribution across Australia, depending on consumer response. The range aims to cater to a variety of taste preferences, from those seeking a refreshing drink to those looking for a more indulgent treat.
