HP Australia promotes Ruben Ahmed to Director of Marketing

Ruben Ahmed will be responsible for all marketing across Personal Systems (PC) and Printing Systems divisions for consumer and commercial business.

HP Australia has named a new Director of Marketing, Ruben Ahmed. Ahmed has worked at Telstra, IBM and Sony.

  • HP Australia has promoted Ruben Ahmed to Director of Marketing in ANZ, from his former role leading the Printing Systems division.
  • He had great success in the printing division, HP said in a statement, growing market share and launching a subscription ink model.

Ruben Ahmed has been named as HP Australia’s new Director of Marketing, responsible for all consumer and commercial marketing across the company’s computer and printing systems teams.

Ahmed was promoted from his role as head of marketing for Printing Systems. He will represent the marketing function on the HP Australia and New Zealand senior leadership team.

He has worked at the company since 2017 and, in a statement, HP said he “quickly establish(ed) himself as a dynamic creative and insights driven leader”. He has increased market share, lifted brand perception, and introduced “several data-led CRM acquisition and retention strategies”.

HP has launched a subscription ink model called HP Instant Ink, and even partnered with celebrity chef Manu Feildel to reinforce the importance of print.

He begins the role immediately.
