O'Keefe says goodbye,

Chris O'Keefe bids farewell to 2GB Drive and journalism, eyes political advocacy
Chris O'Keefe, a notable figure in the Australian media landscape, has announced his departure from 2GB Drive, marking the end of his radio and journalism career.
The announcement, which came as a surprise to many, was made by O'Keefe himself. He has been with 2GB for a couple of years and spent 13 years with Nine.
"Chris O’Keefe has announced that today will be his final program on 2GB," said Luke Davis, Content Manager. "He’s calling time on not only his radio career - but also his journalism career. He has plans to move into the political and media advocacy space in the new year."
O'Keefe's departure leaves a significant gap in the 2GB Drive team. "I’d like to thank Chris for his service to 2GB over the past couple of years, to Nine for the past 13 years and to media and journalism for the past two decades. He has been a force to be reckoned with, an incredibly hard worker and a genuine talent that has made an impact in this industry and the broader community. He will be missed by many," Davis added.
The search for a new 2GB Drive host for 2025 is underway, with an appointment expected in due course.
