Olympian Ariarne Titmus named ambassador for Australian Made Week 2025

Australian Made Week is gearing up for its 2025 campaign with Olympic swimming champion Ariarne Titmus at the helm as ambassador.

The initiative, scheduled to take place from 19-25 May 2025, aims to bolster support for local manufacturers and growers by promoting products that feature the Australian Made green and gold kangaroo logo. The event will be promoted through a comprehensive media campaign, featuring advertisements across TV, radio, print, and online platforms.

Titmus, who will feature prominently in the campaign, is a three-time individual Olympic Gold medallist and holds world records in the 200m and 400m freestyle swimming events.

The AMAG logo has been a symbol of authenticity for over 35 years, governed by stringent rules. Products bearing the logo must adhere to criteria established under Australian Consumer Law and the AMAG Logo Code of Practice. Currently, more than 4,500 businesses are registered to use the AMAG logo, which appears on thousands of products available both domestically and internationally.

"As a proud Aussie, I’m super excited to fly the flag for Australian Made goods and to recognise and celebrate the hard work, guts and determination that it takes to be successful as a home-grown producer despite tough competition." She further added, "I believe you can do anything with a strong work ethic and the right people behind you," said Titmus.

"Which is why I’m throwing my support behind my fellow Aussies who are dedicated to creating locally made products for us to enjoy here and around the world," Titmus said. "I’d love everyone to join me on Team Australian Made – because no matter what you’re buying, when you buy Australian Made, we all win."

Chief Executive of Australian Made, Ben Lazzaro, said: "Arnie embodies the Australian values of hard work and resilience which are qualities that our local makers and growers show every day in producing products that bear the iconic Australian Made logo.... She is a true champion and a fitting ambassador for our annual celebration of Australian manufacturers. We are absolutely thrilled that she will headline our campaign to raise awareness of the importance of buying local."
