Spotify and EA Sports team up for in-game music integration in FC 25
Spotify and EA Sports have partnered to integrate Spotify's music streaming service into the EA Sports FC 25 game, with the new feature is currently undergoing testing in Australia and Saudi Arabia. The integration is available to Spotify Premium users on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
The partnership allows players to access Spotify's global library directly within the game, providing the option to listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks while playing. In Australia, players can also enjoy audiobooks as part of this integration. Users can log into their Spotify Premium account through a new feature located in the main menu of the game.
The Spotify player is designed to be accessible from any point within the game, including during team selection and in-game pauses. This feature operates alongside the existing in-game soundtrack, which remains the default setting for players. Additionally, the EA SPORTS FC 25 soundtrack is available on Spotify for users who wish to listen outside of the game.
Spotify's music editors will be involved in curating playlists and providing recommendations to enhance the gaming experience. This integration aims to offer a seamless experience for players who wish to enjoy their preferred audio content while engaging with the game.
This initial test will roll out across Australia and Saudi Arabia, seeking to create new opportunities for artists to reach the gamer audience and further share their music.
The integration is exclusively available to Spotify Premium users playing EA Sports FC 25 on the specified gaming consoles.
