Solbevi expands global reach with Limoncello spritz in a can
Melbourne-based drinks brand Solbevi has introduced what it claims to be the "world's first Limoncello Spritz in a can." The company, which launched in late 2023, has secured full ranging in major Australian retailers Dan Murphy's and Liquorland, achieving a total of 2000 distribution points across the country.
Earlier this year, Solbevi entered the New Zealand market, where it reportedly sold 50,000 cans within three days. The brand is now available in 500 stores across New Zealand. Solbevi is also expanding its presence in Southeast Asia, having launched in Malaysia in August and Singapore in October.
In addition to retail distribution, Solbevi's products are available on select Qantas flights and in all First & Business Class lounges across Australia. The brand was also featured at the 2025 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, alongside five global brands.
Solbevi's products are stocked in several iconic venues, including Opera Bar, The Continental Hotel, and Arbory Afloat. The brand has received industry recognition, being awarded Liqueur of the Year and World's Best Liqueur at the 2024 USA Spirits Ratings. Additionally, Solbevi was the runner-up for Trend Leader of the Year by Endeavor Group.
The company's vision, as stated by founder Stefan Di Benedetto, is "to sit alongside Aperol and Campari in every venue around the world."
Di Benedetto transitioned from a career in Tier 1 construction management to start Solbevi, drawing inspiration from his Italian heritage and family Limoncello recipe. Solbevi's product line includes a Limoncello Spritz in a can with 4.2% ABV and a Limoncello Liqueur with 20% ABV.
The advisory board for Solbevi includes former executives from Stoli Vodka and Campari, indicating a strategic approach to brand development and market positioning. The company has secured trademark approvals in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the USA, with WIPO approvals in Thailand, Hong Kong, and India.
