Nova Entertainment launches 'Fly' podcast with pilot Richard de Crespigny
Nova Entertainment is set to expand its podcast offerings with the launch of a new series titled 'Fly'. The podcast, hosted by Richard de Crespigny, a distinguished Australian pilot, is scheduled to debut at the end of this week.
De Crespigny gained prominence for his leadership during the Qantas Flight 32 incident, where an engine explosion occurred shortly after take-off. His extensive 45-year career in both military and civil aviation has earned him significant recognition, including being awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to aviation.
The 'Fly' podcast will delve into themes of resilience, leadership, and overcoming adversity. It will feature conversations with thought leaders, high achievers, and everyday heroes. De Crespigny, who is also the author of bestselling books 'QF32' and 'FLY!: The Elements of Resilience', aims to share insights from his aviation experiences that are applicable beyond the cockpit. "The lessons I’ve learned about building resilience and surviving chaos in the air apply far beyond aviation. I created FLY not just to help people lead through crises, but to thrive in the good times," de Crespigny stated.
Rachel Corbett, NOVA Entertainment’s Network Director for Nova Podcasts, highlighted de Crespigny's expertise and the podcast's potential impact. "Richard is one of the most respected voices in aviation, and his experience navigating high-pressure situations is second to none. In FLY, he brings that same clarity and composure to deeply human conversations about resilience, leadership and growth. It’s a compelling and inspiring listen that offers real takeaways for anyone wanting to thrive under pressure or build confidence in the face of challenge," she said.
New episodes of 'Fly' will be released weekly and will be accessible on the Nova Player as well as other podcast platforms. This addition to Nova Podcasts' roster is part of a broader strategy to offer diverse content, which includes partnerships with entities such as FlightStory, Johns Media, and Schwartz Media.
