Hungry Jack's raises record $2.7 million for Make-A-Wish Australia

Hungry Jack's has raised $2.7 million for Make-A-Wish Australia through its annual Wishmaker campaign, marking the largest single donation in the charity's history since its inception in 1985.

The campaign, which ran nationally from 1 to 30 June 2025, involved communities across Australia purchasing 415,211 Wishmaker stars. These stars were available in denominations of $2, $5, $10, $50, $100, and $1,000, with every dollar raised donated directly to Make-A-Wish Australia.

The campaign surpassed its $2.5 million target, setting a new milestone since its launch five years ago. Since 2021, Hungry Jack's Wishmaker campaign has raised more than $10 million, contributing to the granting of numerous life-changing wishes for critically ill children. More than 470 Hungry Jack's restaurants, along with suppliers, customers, and supporters nationwide, contributed to the campaign.

CEO of Hungry Jack's, Chris Green, said: "Our crew members continued to embrace Hungry Jack’s Wishmaker with passion, and we’re proud to see such an outstanding outcome for Make-A-Wish Australia... The unwavering support from our crew, customers, suppliers, and franchisees continues to inspire us to truly make a difference. It's a powerful reflection of the deep commitment we share with Make-A-Wish® Australia and the meaningful impact we can create together."

Make-A-Wish Australia, which has delivered more than 11,000 wishes since 1985, currently has over 900 children on their Wish Journey.

CEO of Make-A-Wish Australia, Sally Bateman, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Hungry Jack’s, their dedicated teams, and every customer who continues to support the Wishmaker campaign... Each day, somewhere around Australia, a wish is coming true for a critically ill child. But as each wish is granted, another two new applications will arrive into the program. We rely on the community’s support to make wishes possible, and this incredible result will have lasting impact on the lives of critically ill kids and their families across Australia."
