Todd Stevenson takes up brand, marketing reins at Aware Super
Experience financial services marketing leader, Todd Stevenson has joined Aware Super in the newly created role of head of brand, marketing and digital for member growth.
Stevenson officially took up the post on 30 June 2025. He brings a wealth of financial services expertise and a strong track record of driving strategic transformations across brand, marketing, and digital domains.
Stevenson's appointment follows in the footsteps of the departure of Aware Super CMO, Gretchen Fox, in May after three years with the superannuation firm. There are no plans to replace the CMO role, and Aware Super has confirmed Stevenson's newly created role reflects an agile way of working.
Aware Super Group Executive, Member Growth, Steve Travis told Mi3 Stevenson's leadership experience, "deeply rooted in shaping customer-centric strategies and delivering impactful growth, as well as developing enterprise-wide brand, marketing, and digital strategies, will be used to accelerate growth and retention for the fund".
For the last 18 months, Stevenson has been working with Team Super as group lead for strategic initiatives. Prior to this, he spent almost three years as a group executive and chief customer officer at Colonial First State (CFS). Stevenson spent many years with the financial services firm in a couple of guises, and had initially been head of customer marketing for five years. He also had three years inside Commonwealth Bank as CMO of the wealth management business which at the time included CFS and CommSure.
Stevenson was also enthusiastic about the job ahead. "I'm really pleased to join the team at Aware Super where there is a genuine commitment, and the investment required, to achieve the vision of reimaging retirement," he said.
"I'm looking forward to working with the team at Aware to build on the amazing foundations already in place and help our members achieve the retirement they have earned."
