Google Pixel partners with Tennis Australia for unique fan experience

Google Pixel has announced a partnership with Tennis Australia, becoming the Official Smartphone and Camera of the Australian Open and serving up a new content-based offering to fans.

The AI-powered camera of the Google Pixel will provide fans with unique access and footage of the Australian Open, including new in-play viewing angles and behind-the-scenes content. The partnership aims to enhance fan experience through a unique #PixelPerspective.

The partnership involves agency partner 72andSunny, and media partners PHD and MFG, who are working to elevate Google Pixel's presence at the Australian Open. This follows the launch of the Google Pixel 8 Pro in October, a collaboration between Google, 72andSunny, PHD, and MFG. The Google Pixel 8 Pro is touted as the most advanced Pixel to date.

"We’re thrilled to be the official Smartphone and Camera of the Australian Open. With the most advanced Pixel to date, the Pixel 8 Pro will give fans unprecedented access to all the action, and help deliver a unique and memorable fan experience at this iconic event," said Director of Marketing, Google Australia, Julia Davis.

The partnership will also feature a Pixel sponsorship film directed by Dave Wood, with music by Zimbabwean-Australian rapper Tkay Maidza, and LED billboards.

"Fans come to the Australian Open to see the world's best tennis players in action. Our Pixel sponsorship film directed by Dave Wood from Goodoil, music by Zimbabwean-Australian rapper Tkay Maidza, along with our spectacular LED billboards, share the fun and energy of the event known as ‘The Happy Slam’," said Creative Lead at 72andSunny, Genevieve Hoey.
