Mediation's calm,
In chaos, find resolution,
Support guides the way.

Co-parenting and mediation subject of new campaign for Relationships NSW

Relationships Australia NSW has launched a new campaign aimed at raising awareness of its low-cost Family Dispute Resolution services. The initiative seeks to provide separating couples with a more affordable alternative to the traditional legal route.

The campaign, rolling out across digital and on Sydney buses, is centred around an emotive video that portrays the chaos and uncertainty often associated with modern co-parenting. The video transitions to a calm mediation setting, highlighting the potential benefits of Family Dispute Resolution.

The production was handled by Home Prod Co and was filmed in suburban Sydney.

Family Dispute Resolution is a process designed to assist separating couples in resolving parenting and financial matters. It involves the help of a neutral, expert facilitator. In most cases involving children, families are required to attempt mediation before they can apply to court.

Last financial year, Relationships Australia NSW delivered over 12,200 mediation sessions and over 12,700 counselling sessions. These services were provided with funding support from the Australian Government.

Relationships Australia NSW CEO Elisabeth Shaw said, "Separation can feel overwhelming and emotionally charged – especially when parenting and financial decisions are left unresolved. This campaign is about showing that support is available, and that we can be a steady, trusted presence through that process."

Relationships Australia NSW Digital Marketing Lead Marina Pliatsikas added, "We wanted to show the often-unseen mental load of separation – the confusion, the conflicting advice, the overwhelm. We contrasted that chaos with the calmer and more collaborative environment of our mediation room to demonstrate that there’s another way."
