Canva and Sportsbet creatives to fill final speaker spots for 2025 Evolution Summit

The In-House Agency Council (IHAC) has announced the final lineup of speakers for its 2025 Evolution Summit with in-house creatives from Canva, Sportsbet, and Time Under Tension all set to appear.

The event, now in its third year, is set to take place on September 16 at The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney. It aims to engage in-house and hybrid agency professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Among the newly confirmed speakers are Cat van der Werff from Canva, Tim Hernadi from Sportsbet, and Tim O’Neill from Time Under Tension. Van der Werff, who serves as Executive Creative Director at Canva, will focus on building and running world-class in-house creative capability. Hernadi, General Manager Marketing at Sportsbet, alongside O’Neill, will delve into AI adoption in marketing teams and effective strategies.

The Summit will address a variety of topics, including creative capability, AI adoption, operational transformation, and the evolving role of in-house media. Angela Greenwood from Youi, Anna Jackson from Telstra, and Adam Ledbury from Uber are also part of the speaker roster.

A panel session will provide insights into operational transformation, featuring Gemma Poesaste from Telstra, Sarah Hetherington from CBAGENCY, CommBank, and Georgie Bugelly from Asahi Beverages' 1House. Additionally, Mike Worden, Partner & Chief Media Officer at -lution, will present new research on the in-house media landscape.

The event will also include brand showcases by Storyteq and Ideally, as well as peer-led roundtables designed for delegates to share challenges and exchange ideas. The Summit is free for IHAC members, while non-members can attend by invitation only.

Executive Chairman of IHAC and CEO of -lution, Chris Maxwell, commented, "We’ve built this year’s line-up to challenge thinking and unlock new approaches to creativity, media and operations. What makes it special is that these are leaders working inside some of the world’s biggest and fastest-moving brands - they know what it takes to deliver at pace, at scale and under pressure. Delegates won’t just hear big ideas, they’ll walk away with strategies that can be applied to their own teams immediately."

Head of IHAC, Abby Blackmore, added, "The IHAC Summit has become a keystone event for our community, and this year’s agenda is practical and inspiring. Whether you are scaling a new team, refining your model or exploring new capabilities, you will leave with ideas and connections to take the next step."

IHAC is an industry organisation dedicated to supporting and advancing in-house agencies. It provides resources, networking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives to its members.
