Sam Davies steps up as Managing Director of kwpx Adelaide

South Australian advertising firm, kwpx, has promoted Sam Davies to Managing Director of its Adelaide office.

Davies first joined kwxp through the merger of his agency Digital Noir (DN) in 2021, and has since led the merged agency's digital and advertising divisions as the Executive Director of Brand & Digital.

"As we expand our footprint and deepen our reach nationally, it's imperative to bring through the next generation of leaders within the agency,” said Chair and CEO of kwpx, David O’Loughlin. "Sam Davies epitomises the entrepreneurial spirit we value at kwpx, and his appointment as Managing Director of the Adelaide office underscores our commitment to driving both growth, and the independent spirit of the agency.”

In addition to Davies' appointment, Sam Talbot has been named as the new Head of Advertising at kwpx. The Strategic Leadership Team at kwpx includes division heads and directors from Adelaide, Fremantle, and Darwin.

“I am thrilled to oversee the agency in Adelaide and contribute to the legacy of kwpx and our continued success. I have an extremely talented bunch of humans alongside me, we are all hungry to do brave work and I am going to keep that fire burning hot," said Davies.

Kwpx is continuing its growth trajectory after merging with Fremantle-based creative agency & Partners in 2023. The agency has also made several senior appointments recently, including Brenton Bleechmore as Executive Creative Director, Sam Talbot, Morgan Owen as Head of Strategy, and Tessa Briscoe as Media Director.

Talbot, who joined kwpx in early 2023 from VLMY&R Sydney as Director of Client Services, is optimistic about the future of the agency. “Watch this space - even with a legendary catalogue of work our best is yet to come. Under our new strategy, Sam Davies' leadership and with the support of our talented team, we are ready to achieve great things,” he said.
