Carla Vella, head of Sydney radio sales at Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), has resigned after four years in the role to relocate her young family to Queensland, where she has accepted a role as Queensland sales director for Shopper Media Group (SMG).

Vella has had a long career at SCA and the firm's national head of radio sales, Nikki Rooke, said she would be missed by both colleagues and clients.

“Carla has been a very popular member of the SCA sales team, both within the business, and externally,” said Rooke. “She has fostered great relationships with our clients and agencies, as well as within the team; she has a knack for making personal, meaningful connections.”
