Nine has reshaped its national sales team to reflect where it believes its media products are going: Total Television, Total Radio and Total Publishing. Each division has a sales director that will report to Chief Sales Officer Michael Stephenson.

What you need to know:

  • Nine has unveiled a major redesign of its national sales team, appointing a Director of Sales for Total Television, Radio and Publishing.
  • Richard Hunwick will lead TV, Ashley Earnshaw will lead Radio and Jo Clasby will lead Publishing.

Nine has restructured its national sales team to mirror its Television, Audio and Publishing arms, naming Richard Hunwick, Ashley Earnshaw and Jo Clasby as new sales leads.

Hunwick will be Director of Sales for “Total Television”, which includes metro, regional and broadcast video on-demand (BVOD).

Earnshaw will lead the "Total Audio" division as Director of Sales, which covers radio, live streaming and podcasts.

Clasby has been named Director of Sales for "Total Publishing", which includes the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, the Australian Financial Review, and Nine.com.au.

The network announced a new Digital Centre of Excellence that will look for new “commercial opportunities” across the Television, Audio and Publishing divisions, led by Ben Campbell who has been promoted to Director of Data and Digital Advertising. Jordan King has been promoted to Director of Programmatic and Digital Sales.

“The future of TV is total television, the future of radio is total audio, and the future of publishing is total publishing,” Michael Stephenson, Nine’s Chief Sales Officer, said in a statement.

The transition will take place over the next eight weeks, Stephenson told staff in an email.

The new appointments come after the news Nick Young was joining NOVA Entertainment as Chief Commercial Officer.
