The Latch

The Latch’s sustainability vertical – a menu item on the top of its website – will launch some time in May, as will the BuyGood e-commerce store.

Val Morgan Digital’s publication The Latch is getting into sustainability reporting, joining forces with Suncorp to add a dedicated vertical and launch an online store called BuyGood.

What you need to know:

  • Val Morgan Digital has partnered with Suncorp to create a Sustainability tab for its digital publication The Latch. It is also creating an online store selling sustainable products called BuyGood.
  • The products on Buy Good will be measured and assessed by Dayrize.

Suncorp has joined forces with Val Morgan Digital’s lifestyle publication, The Latch, to create a separate sustainability vertical on their website, as well as launch an online store called BuyGood.

The publisher led e-commerce shop will sell sustainable products and services for The Latch’s audience, and will work with impact measurement business Dayrize to make sure those products are, indeed, sustainable. Val Morgan Digital says this is an Australian first – providing readers with a clear and validated report of BuyGood’s products across five dimensions of sustainability: Circularity, Climate Impact, Ecosystem Impact, Livelihoods & Wellbeing, and Purpose.

Potta Findikidis, Executive Manager of Marketing at Suncorp Bank, said the company wanted to lead the sustainability charge among financial institutions.

“Our choices have the potential to make a big difference, and one of those simple decisions we make every day, is where we put our money,” she says.

“Suncorp Bank feels a great responsibility to help our customers with their financial wellbeing and to have a positive impact on the world we share.”

The Latch’s sustainability vertical – a menu item on the top of its website – will launch some time in May, as will the BuyGood e-commerce store. The store is asking brands to submit their products for consideration.
