APL, Mitre debut bespoke match balls for 2025 A-Leagues finals series

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and Mitre have introduced their first-ever bespoke A-Leagues Finals Series Official Match Balls for the 2025 season. These special edition balls will be used in the Ninja A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men Finals Series.

Mitre, a football brand with a history dating back to 1817, is renowned for its innovation and excellence in the sport. The newly launched Ultimax Pro Finals Series Official Match Balls feature distinct designs for each competition, inspired by their respective Championship trophies, and are adorned with a unique gold trim.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase both the official and replica versions of these Finals Series Official Match Balls. They will be available online at Mitre Sports Australia's website starting from April 14, and will also be accessible at Rebel sports retailers from the same week.

The Ninja A-League 2025 Finals Series is set to commence on the last weekend of April, featuring Elimination Finals and Semi Finals, culminating in the Grand Final on the weekend of May 17. Meanwhile, the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025 Finals Series will begin on May 9, with its Grand Final scheduled for the last weekend of May.

Broadcast coverage of the Finals Series matches will be provided live on Network 10, 10 Play, and Paramount+.

The 2024/25 A-Leagues season marks the inaugural year of a three-year Official Match Ball partnership between APL and Mitre. The Ultimax Pro has already made a significant impact, having been involved in over 850 goals across both competitions during the current season.

Mitre has also launched a replica retail range designed to cater to various skill levels and price points. Additionally, Mitre's digital activation, 'Made With Mitre,' aims to engage fans through website articles, social media content, and interactive fan voting.

The Ultimax Pro is accredited with FIFA Quality Pro standards and boasts a four-panel thermally bonded construction, Hyperflow debossed grooves, and a Hyperfoam mid-layer.

The A-Leagues comprise the Isuzu UTE A-League Men's and Ninja A-League Women competitions. For the 2024/25 season, the men's league includes 13 clubs, while the women's league consists of 12 clubs.

Director of Mitre Sports Australia, Gerrard Woods, said, "We are very excited to see the penultimate Finals Series round off what has been a thrilling season for both the Men's and Women's A-Leagues competitions so far, with our Special Edition Finals Official Match Balls... Our record year with the Ultimax Pro as the A-Leagues Official Match Ball has further shown why the A-Leagues is such a rich and exciting footballing competition, and one that we are extremely proud to be a part of."
