Healthengine taps Mable's Matt Gudge as chief marketing officer

Consumer healthcare platform, Healthengine, has appointed former Mable and Big Red Group marketer, Matt Gudge, as Chief Marketing Officer.

The new role Gudge focus on developing innovative and customer-focused solutions for consumers and healthcare providers. He will report to Healthengine's CEO, Dan Stinton, who joined the business in August after wrapping up five years as Managing Director at Guardian Australia and New Zealand.

Stinton said Gudge's appointment reflected Healthengine's commitment to investing in talent and technology to improve Australian's access to healthcare.

"While technology is a big aspect of the Healthengine story, we are also very much a people-based business – from the people around Australia who we help connect to essential health services, to the people within our business who drive quality outcomes for our customers," he said. "Matt is hugely experienced in a wide range of marketing functions, including brand strategy and development, digital and business development - and his arrival not only indicates Healthengine’s growth, but further expands the business’ ability to deliver the innovative, customer-focused solutions that we are renowned for."

Gudge's move comes less than a year after he left experience marketplace provider, Big Red Group, to take up a role lead growth ventures as health-tech platform Mable.

"With a well-earned reputation as a business that delivers innovation and results, I’m thrilled to now be part of the Healthengine team. It’s exciting to have joined a company that places such a strong focus on innovation and meeting the needs and expectations of customers and supporting the healthcare journey of people around the country," said Gudge.

Gudge said that Healthengine was a natural fit given his passion for health, and experience with online platforms and e-commerce. " I’m looking forward to working closely with Dan and the wider team to continue embedding a more positive reputation for the healthcare space in Australia."

Founded in 2006, Healthengine helps millions of Australians connect with over 9,000 healthcare practices nationwide. Over the course of its history, more than 74 million healthcare bookings have been made on the platform.
