Snapchat debuts new tools to boost content creation and engagement
Snapchat has launched a suite of new tools and features designed to enhance content creation and sharing capabilities for its users.
Among these is the "Create a Video Template from Memories," which allows users to craft Lens-powered videos using their saved Memories. This feature is now available globally on iOS devices.
In addition to this, Snapchat has introduced new insights for creators on its Stories and Spotlight platforms. These insights are intended to assist creators in optimising their content and demonstrating audience engagement. The key metrics provided include Returning Viewers, Top Content, Total View Time, Views by Traffic Sources, Spotlight Average View Time, and Spotlight Average View Rate.
A notable feature in this update is the "Auto-Save Stories to Public Profiles," which enables creators to automatically save their public Stories directly to their profiles. This prevents the Stories from disappearing after the standard 24-hour period, offering creators a more permanent showcase of their content.
Snapchat is also set to introduce the Timeline Editor, a new video editing tool that will soon be available to creators in the United States. This tool will allow for chronological video editing, enabling creators to add Lenses, music, and other creative tools to their videos. The "Timeline Editor" is expected to provide creators with more flexibility and control over their video content.
