Salesforce unveils AI enhancements for Slack and Revenue Cloud
Salesforce has introduced a suite of new AI and search capabilities for Slack, aiming to enhance user experience by minimising time spent on searching, app-switching, and rewriting content. The new features include enterprise search connectors, writing assistance, and contextual message insights.
Slack's enterprise search now enables users to locate information across conversations, files, and connected applications such as Google Drive and Microsoft Teams. AI writing assistance in Slack can summarise key points, extract action items, and draft messages from conversations. Additional AI features include channel recaps, thread summaries, and AI-powered translations. These AI capabilities are included in every paid plan, with more advanced features available in higher-tier plans.
In addition to Slack enhancements, Salesforce has launched Agentforce for Revenue, a new AI-powered solution within its Revenue Cloud. This tool is designed to streamline the quote-to-cash process. Salesforce reports a 75% decrease in quoting time and an 87% reduction in clicks for its sales team using Agentforce. The solution allows sellers to generate accurate quotes swiftly by describing their needs, such as 'Quote 25 licenses with a 10% discount'.
Revenue Cloud's Product Configurator supports complex quotes with more than a thousand lines and includes a guided constraint builder. The solution is built on an API-first architecture, facilitating easy deployment of agents and automation across channels. Agentforce is designed to work across any industry, with AdMed, Inc. currently piloting the solution to modernise its sales process.
EVP and GM of Revenue Cloud at Salesforce, Meredith Schmidt, said: "Salesforce CPQ helped usher in the second wave of revenue management by enabling recurring revenue at scale. Now, with Revenue Cloud, we're delivering the third wave: revenue management powered by an API-first, composable, and agent-ready platform that lets revenue flow seamlessly across every channel, from sales reps and partner portals to self-service and field service."
Salesforce's new solutions are part of its Summer '25 release, which includes enhancements to Revenue Cloud. These solutions are designed with security and compliance in mind, ensuring data protection and adherence to company policies.
