DDB has promoted its head of New Business and Communications, Lindsay Bennett, to Global Head of Marketing. Bennett, a former trade press journalist, will relocate to New York late this year as part of the role.

What you need to know:

  • DDB Sydney's new business and comms lead Lindsay Bennett has been promoted to Global Head of Marketing for the creative agency.
  • Bennett, who is relocating to New York for the role is being replaced by Mumbrella Deputy Editor Brittney Rigby.

Lindsay Bennett has been promoted to Global Head of Marketing for DDB Worldwide, with Brittney Rigby to replace her at DDB Group Australia as Head of Communications and New Business.

In the newly created role, Bennett will lead the marketing function for DDB globally, spanning 200 offices in 90 countries with plans to relocate to New York in August.

Joining DDB in 2019 from industry publication AdNews where she was Digital Editor, Bennett was promoted after nine months at the agency to take on a broader marketing and new business hybrid role with DDB landing #1 for New Business in 2020, according to R3.

“I am sad to be leaving the team at such an exciting time for DDB in Australia. It really is the best bunch of talented and nice humans and I’m so proud to have been a part of our shared success. Equally, the opportunity to craft more of this globally is a great honour. I am excited to work with the global team on the next chapter of the DDB story," Bennett said.

In Rigby’s new role, she will lead internal and external communications as well as business development across DDB Group nationally, including Tribal, Track, Mango, Interbrand and DDB Remedy.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Brittney Rigby to our agency and continue to drive DDB’s reputation in Australia. Additionally, it is wonderful to see Lindsay recognised for her contribution to DDB Group Australia. We look forward to seeing what she does on the global stage," DDB Group Australia CEO Andrew Little said.
