Publicis Sapient names former Coles, IAG exec Claire Rawlins as local MD

Publicis Groupe's "growth engine" and business transformation unit, Sapient, has hired Claire Rawlins as its new Managing Director for Australia, replacing Sarah Adam-Gedge who left in May. Rawlins has served as a strategist and digital technologist for at firms including Salesforce, IAG, Fidelity International and BNP Paribas.

Publicis Sapient, the holding group's business transformation company, has appointed Claire Rawlins as its new Managing Director for Australia.

She joins the business on August 16, replacing former boss Sarah Adam-Gedge, who joined enterprise IT services firm Wipro in May.

Rawlins is tasked with driving growth for Publicis Sapient in Australia while building stronger connections with parent company Publicis Groupe. 

"Claire brings with her deep experience in driving digital and technology transformation and cultural change. She will empower our teams in Australia to develop bold, innovative ideas that successfully reimagine businesses for the digital age,” said Publicis Sapient CEO Nigel Vaz.

Rawlins has served as a strategist and digital technologist and led teams across multiple industries for companies such as Salesforce, Coles, IAG, Fidelity International and BNP Paribas. 

Most recently, she was the Founder & CEO of Digital Natives Advisory & Strategy Advisor to the President of Adobe APAC.

Publicis ANZ CEO Mike Rebelo sees Sapient as the group's "growth engine" locally. He said in May that the firm remains “on track for strong growth across 2021 and 2022” with clients showing no loss of appetite for digital transformation services.
