Colonial First State wants to spend $430 million on its business in the next four years, and it has named It’s Friday as the agency to develop its first standalone brand campaign.

What you need to know:

  • Colonial First State has named It’s Friday as the agency to develop and deliver its first brand platform and ad campaign since becoming a standalone business in December.
  • It’s Friday is the agency founded by Pete Bosilkovski, Vince Lagana and Jeremy De Villiers.

Colonial First State has appointed It’s Friday to develop a new brand platform and advertising campaign, its first since becoming a standalone business after CommBank sold a 55 per cent stake in December.

It’s Friday is the new agency founded by former Clemenger BBDO Sydney CEO Pete Bosilkovski, The Monkeys ECD Vince Lagana and The C Suite COO Jeremy De Villiers that launched with Domino’s as its founding client.

The agency will develop a brand platform for Colonial First State, which is one of the larger retail superannuation and investment businesses – it is the largest payer of pensions after the federal government.

It has about $150 billion funds under management, after CommBank sold a 55 per cent stake to global investment firm KKR in December. The superannuation and investment company announced it was looking to invest more than $430 million in its business over the next four years.

Colonial First State Chief Customer Officer Todd Stevenson said: “The investment we are making into our brand is another way CFS is working to power the growth of the almost one million members who trust us to help with their retirement savings and investments.”

Bosilkovski, It’s Friday’s CEO, said it was a privilege to work with the brand.
