Independent media agency This is Flow has appointed its first ever managing director, with Matt Papasavva promoted from digital lead to help founder and CEO Jimmy Hyett run the broader business as MD.

The agency has tripled in size in 18 months and in the last three months hired 11 new staff. The company last September said all staff would be eligible for profit share, writing it into contracts and guaranteeing it subject to company and individual targets.

Two months prior, it inked an affiliate deal with global 'anti holding group' MDC Partners to become its media agency across Australia and New Zealand.

Since then, the firm has won Wesfarmers-owned Workwear Group, KingGee and Hard Yakka brands, as well as Riverina Dairy and Liquefy Health.

Prior to joining Flow, Papasavva was Digital Media Manager at Ticketek, ant at Mindshare and MediaCom before that.
