By Sam Buckingham-Jones - Senior Writer
Jon Kenyon has been named managing partner of Akcelo Melbourne.

"Expanding Akcelo nationally has always been in the plan," Aden Hepburn (R), CEO at Akcelo, says.

After launching in 2020, Akcelo is still growing – fast. It has a headcount of 80 and has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Vancouver, Canada.

What you need to know:

  • Akcelo has launched in Melbourne, hiring Jon Kenyon as its managing partner.
  • The new office follows a launch in North America, with an office opening in Vancouver, Canada.
  • Kenyon joins after leaving VMLY&R Melbourne in March.

Brand experience-focused agency Akcelo has named Jon Kenyon as the managing partner of its new Melbourne office.

Kenyon, who left WPP-owned VMLY&R Melbourne in March, will lead the Victorian expansion after Akcelo won several clients in the city. He worked at Fox Sports, Isobar and Big Red before that.

Akcelo was founded last year by former VMLY&R CEO Aden Hepburn, who sought to create a new model with creativity and brand experience at its core. It covers creative, digital, social, content, CRM, technology and data.

The agency has now grown to 80 people, starting in Cremorne, Sydney, with an office in Vancouver, Canada. It counts Lion Australia as a client.
