Charmaine Moldrich (above) has announced she will step down as head of the Outdoor Media Association and MOVE from June next year.

In June 2023, after more than 11 years leading the Outdoor Media Association, CEO Charmaine Moldrich will step down. It’s a “bittersweet moment”, Moldrich says, and while there’s more to do in the space, it’s the right time for new ideas and energy. A search is now on for her replacement, who will push the new MOVE 2.0 audience measurement platform to its launch in 2024.

What you need to know:

  • Charmaine Moldrich has announced she will step down as head of the Outdoor Media Association and MOVE from June next year.
  • She has been at the helm of the body for more than a decade.
  • The OMA is searching for a replacement.

The Outdoor Media Association has announced the departure of Charmaine Moldrich after more than a decade at the helm of the out-of-home industry’s peak body. She will step down in June 2023.

“It’s a bittersweet moment, but after more than a decade working in an industry it is time to move on. Out of Home (OOH) has become so much a part of my life and I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished in that time,” Moldrich said.

“While there’s much more to do, I know it is the right time to step away and create space for new energy and ideas, to shepherd the industry into the next phase.”

Moldrich has also led Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure (MOVE), the sector’s OOH audience measurement platform. Its next iteration, MOVE 2.0, is currently being developed and will launch under the new CEO in 2024.

She was named a joint winner of the coveted World Out of Home Organisation’s Leadership Award, recognising her contributions to the OOH industry. Moldrich will be taking six months off before considering her next move.

Charles Parry-Okeden, OMA Independent Chairman said: “The industry would not be where it is today if not for the judicious yet aspirational leadership of Charmaine. While we pay tribute to Charmaine’s legacy, we also look forward to finding a replacement to lead the OMA and MOVE into the future.”
