The Australian expands digital offerings with new Wealth section
The Australian has introduced a new digital-first section called Wealth, designed to assist Australians in making more informed financial decisions. This new section is accessible through The Australian's app and website and offers content in various formats, including podcasts, guides, masterclasses, explainers, and videos.
The launch of the Wealth section follows the success of The Australian's Health & Wellbeing digital-first section. The Wealth section is spearheaded by Wealth Editor Julie-anne Sprague, who has a background as a Perth radio presenter and podcast host and previously edited The Australian Financial Review Rich List. Supporting Sprague is a team comprising Associate Editor - Wealth James Kirby, Personal Finance Writer Anthony Keane, and Digital Producer and Reporter Megan Neil.
The section will feature columns from financial professionals such as James Gerrard and Roger Montgomery. Additionally, it will include content from international sources like The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and The Times.
The launch of the Wealth section is backed by a marketing campaign that spans audio, digital, out-of-home, print, and social channels. This initiative is part of The Australian's broader strategy to focus on content areas that resonate with its audience.
