Max in Australia,
Streaming worlds unite as one,
Content vast and wide.

Warner Bros. Discovery's Max streaming service now live in Australia
Warner Bros. Discovery's Max streaming service has launched officially in the Australian market, bringing together a wide range of content from HBO, Warner Bros., Discovery, and popular franchises such as Harry Potter and the DC Universe.
The platform, which is currently offering a special introductory launch price available until April 30, is gearing up to exclusively premiere the second season of "The Last of Us" on April 14. The launch of Max coincides with the exit of HBO and Warner Bros. content from the Foxtel Goup's linear and streaming assets, with the Australian broadcaster's having struck a deal to give its cable subscribers free access to the new US service.
Max, accessible on major mobile, tablet, gaming, and connected TV devices, provides three subscription plans: Basic With Ads, Standard, and Premium, each offering different features and pricing options.
The Basic With Ads plan allows streaming on two devices simultaneously in full HD. The Standard plan also supports streaming on two devices in full HD and offers up to 30 downloads for offline viewing. The Premium plan allows streaming on four devices at once in 4K UHD with Dolby Atmos and provides up to 100 downloads for offline viewing.
Max offers personalised recommendations and enables users to create profiles, including kid-friendly profiles with parental controls. The content library includes HBO Originals, Max Originals, Hollywood hits, TCM classics, and popular TV shows.
CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery, JB Perrette, said: "The launch of Max in Australia continues our exciting global expansion. While the Max brand may be new to Australians, the programming engines at the heart of it – including HBO, Discovery, Warner Bros., Harry Potter, the DC universe - are already loved by audiences here. Now for the first time, these brands come together alongside additional premium content from WBD’s portfolio, to offer a distinct streaming proposition for local fans."
President, APAC at Warner Bros. Discovery, James Gibbons, said: "From the world’s most talked about series, iconic franchises and hit blockbuster movies to compelling factual programming, reality favourites and kids' content, Max offers thousands of hours of premium entertainment in one new streaming home. With three different pricing plans, broad device capability, and several distribution partners for maximum reach, our deep vault of content has never been more accessible for Australians."
