Webjet Group appoints Oonagh Flanagan as first CMO
Oonagh Flanagan has been appointed as the first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Webjet Group in Australia. In her new role, Flanagan will oversee the marketing strategy for Webjet Online Travel Agency (OTA) in Australia and New Zealand and lead loyalty initiatives across the Webjet Group.
Flanagan brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and leadership to the position. She previously served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Funlab Pty Ltd. Known for her ability to push creative boundaries and drive marketing technology innovation, Flanagan's expertise is expected to play a crucial role in advancing Webjet Group's strategic priorities.
Her responsibilities will include focusing on marketing, loyalty, digital platforms, and e-commerce as part of the company's FY30 strategic priorities. Flanagan will also lead a refresh of the Webjet OTA brand, which is set to launch later this year. This brand refresh is part of Webjet Group's broader strategy to double its Total Transaction Value (TTV) and enhance the travel experience through digital innovation.
Flanagan's role will focus on utilising data-driven insights and advanced marketing technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve marketing efficiency, personalisation, and productivity. Her appointment is seen as a key component of Webjet Group's strategy to strengthen its position as a standalone, ASX-listed digital travel organisation.
